Granot Loma - An American Estate
Granot Loma is a 26,000 sq. ft. log palace, an extravaganza of wood and stone. Property includes 4,970 acres, 7.76 square miles, with 3.64 miles of frontage on Lake Superior, 1.1 miles of which is fine sand beach. A island, part of the property, lies just off shore in front of the Lodge. The Little Garlic and Big Garlic rivers, the former a nationally known steelhead trout stream, flow through the property with several waterfalls. The owner says it best: "When you're in the buildings you forget the land, and when you're on the land you forget the buildings."

Thistledowne at Seul Choix Thistledowne was built to be a family home on Lake Michigan and a fabulous B&B. It was both. The prestigious Arrington's Bed & Breakfast Journal listed it as the "Seventh Most Elegant Inn in North America" in 2004, high honors indeed. Guest rooms and private quarters remain as beautiful as ever. It could again be one of the premier B&B's in the country OR it could be your fabulous private home or vacation home on a 660' wide, very private, Lake Michigan sand beach. Eagles nest in the pines on its 32 acres. Sandhill cranes walk the beach. We stayed there several times when it was an operating B&B and have never had a finer experience anywhere. Thistledowne at this price is an extraordinary value, however you use it. If you have plans and are looking in Michigan's U.P. you should see it. This might just fit! | VIEW LISTING & PICTURES » |
